As I type this it is pouring rain so hard you can barely see through the blurry wet windows. It is officially winter in Cape Town. I have wanted to post these pictures for a while but it has been very busy so they are only being shared today. They are from this past April when Jason and I hiked Lion's Head, a small mountain beside the infamous Table Mountain. Table Mountain is nice but the view from Lions Head is on a whole other level. It was amazing and I couldn't stop gawking the whole time at our beautiful city.
The mountain points at the top so if you hike up on the evening of a full moon from one side you can see the moon rise and on the other side you can watch the sun set. You face one way and then turn around and face the other way. Moon. Sunset. Moon. Sunset. We hiked up rather early in the afternoon because we were told it would be incredibly busy but it actually wasn't and many of the people who came up after us ended up being friends from Muizenberg. It was a successful evening and I hope to do it over and over again while we live here and to take all of you when you come to visit.
Happy Wednesday!
